I often do motion design and after effect and blender, and Blender's management of font file had always bothered me, so i tried to implement a better way to manage them, like in after effect for example ! If you find this thread useless, you can remove it, no worries.Hi all blenderheads, here's my new addon for blender : Font Selector Go to File>User Preferences>Themes>Text Style>Ĭhange Panel Title>Kerning Style>Points> (by default there will be a 11 value) increase that to 13.Ĭhange Widget>Kerning Style>Points> (by default there will be a 11 value) increase that to 13.Ĭhange Widget label>Kerning Style>Points> (by default there will be a 11 value) increase that to 13. From what i read, to change the fonts you need to change when you’re building Blender from the source code, because the font is hardcoded. Have installed a custom font, enabled International Fonts, still no change. I have fiddled with Antialiasing on the Nvidia Card, the Text Antialiasing function in Blender, this made it worse. The object is also available from the Object Apply. If you are experiencing problems with the edge length display, use the CTRL+A to fix it. That will incorporate the scale transformation and make it the object’s current size. Increasing the DPI is not a viable option, as some of tools and menu’s are not affected, the whole interface becomes choppy.Īll I wanted is to increase the menu fonts from 11px to 13px, not the whole DPI. Simple, you can press CTRL+A with the object that has a scale factor different from 1.000 and choose Scale. I’ve been trying to increase the readability of the menu/tools fonts, in Blender 2.72/2.73RC and couldn’t do it by any means. Some were saying that font size is hard-coded and cannot be changed…In the actual fact, the font size can be changed and it’s fairly easy, once you know where the option is. This may be something silly for advanced users, but I’ve been searching for a while and couldn’t find a straight answer to this.
